📜 AKA 🏛️ Kratom Legality Update March 1st 2023

via The American Kratom Association:

“Kratom opponents are pulling out all the stops against kratom consumers in 2023. Together we’ve stopped several ban attempts this year, but the attacks aren’t slowing down in March. The latest tactic to harm consumers is to drown us all in product regulation complexity so they confuse consumers and the industry into making criminal mistakes. Look no further than ban activities in Georgia as our fight back has slowed scheduling, but plans to criminalize kratom still remain (Link to Contact Officials in Georgia).

However, it isn’t all bad news as we’ve made great progress with Kratom Consumer Protection Acts in states like Virginia, Florida, and even the Indiana House where kratom is banned. So please join us Thursday March 2nd at 8pm to get the latest information on protecting your rights to consume safe kratom, and how you can help in your state. Join us Thursday @ 8pm EST

Contact Georgia Officials: Georgia’s House is still considering severe restrictions to kratom and we need you to write to officials there. Use and share the form at Protectkratom.org/georgia to share your story and message them why protecting kratom the right way matters. Contact Georgia

AKA to Present at UN Drug Commission  The AKA previously receive consultancy status with the UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs, and was recently accepted to present on the science of kratom in Vienna during the Commission’s meeting next month. This is an incredibly exciting and powerful opportunity to help shine light on kratom science, and dispel misinformation internationally. The AKA’s presentation will take place Thursday March 16th around 8am EST. Online participation links will be sent out in the coming weeks.
